June 2005

Dear Friends,

In 1998, the Lord brought two boys to this ministry who had both experienced extremely difficult circumstances in their young lives. According to "statistics" the outlook was not very promising that they would successfully make it through their teenage years. "But God, who is rich in mercy", had His own plan for these boys.

Both of them had to navigate through the trials and hardships of growing up that all children do, but certainly the adversity of their life situations gave them additional hurdles to jump. Through God's grace, they persevered. Last Friday several of us at Boys Farm had the privilege of representing all of you who support this ministry with your prayers and financial gifts, as we attended the high school graduation of these two fine young men. In addition to completing and earning their high school education, both have been accepted to Lander University in the fall of 2005. Thank you for your part in keeping these two boys from becoming a "statistic". To God be the Glory!

We continue to be excited and thankful as we watch God coordinate the building of the new cottage for our children. Thank you for your much-needed contributions! Thank you also to the over three hundred volunteers who have given their time and provided the necessary labor to be able to build a home at such a low cost. Even so, we still need approximately $24,000 (less than 10% of total building cost) to complete the construction of the new home. I petition you to ask God what He would have you do in helping us meet this need. The cost of serving an increasing number of boys in need is rising, so please continue to give to the daily operational needs of this ministry. It is our hope that the boys will be able to move into their new home by the end of this month!

With summer upon us, many of you will be traveling and enjoying summer vacations. If you are passing by Newberry, we would love to have you stop by Boys Farm. We welcome you to come see for yourself what God is doing on this campus through your faithful prayers and financial contributions.

By His Grace,

Marty Gilpatrick
