July 2005
Dear Friends,
As we begin the month of July, I hope that all of us are realizing God’s awesome blessings in our lives. The summer seems to be flying by so quickly. The Bible tells us that our “life is but a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes.” That certainly seems to be true the older one gets. As we daily seek God’s will in prioritizing our schedules and balancing our lives, it is reassuring to know that God’s Word promises that He has a plan for our lives and that we have enough time to do everything that He wants us to do!
Although it was our hope to have the boys settled in their new home before school begins in August, we have had to delay the opening of our new cottage due to unexpected circumstances. These circumstances may have been unforeseen by us, but they were no surprise to God. God has been so faithful and we have been encouraged all throughout this project. We are grateful for the generous spirit of volunteerism and financial contributions to the building of the new cottage. I ask that you pray with us for the remaining financial cost needed, which at this date is estimated to be approximately $20,000. Also pray for us as God works out the final details of construction to enable the children to move into their new home. We do not want to become discouraged or impatient. God’s timing is always perfect and we trust Him with all the details.
Friends, Boys Farm has continuously operated as a faith-based ministry. Those of you who support the work of this ministry have a love for the Lord and want to see these young boys’ lives changed through the Grace of God. Christ is the foundation of all that is accomplished and to God be the glory! Your prayers and financial gifts are necessary tools to continue to build on what Christ has begun. You are providing shelter, food, clothing, education, and the opportunity to know the love of Christ for each boy God places in our care. Please know that we take very seriously the stewardship of your financial gifts. If you are interested in knowing the particular needs for completion of the cottage, we would love to hear from you.
I would also like to welcome you to visit our up-dated web site at www.boysfarm.org. The web site not only offers information regarding the history of Boys Farm, but current pictures of the boys and activities, a video of the building of the new cottage, and suggestions of how you might help the ministry. We all hope you will enjoy the changes!
Thank you for your continued prayers and financial support.
By His Grace,
Marty Gilpatrick
