Dear Friends,

Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I hope that you are enjoying your summer. Our boys have stayed busy with a variety of recreational activities, outings, Christian camps and Vacation Bible School. Two of our boys were able to go on a mission trip with a local church group to Boston assisting them in the building of a church. Thank you for your prayers and support which have enabled the boys to have a positive summer experience that they will remember as they grow older.

Vacation time is almost over in that school begins on the 11th of August. Back-to-school is always an exciting time, but it does call for considerable resources in addition to our regular expenses as all parents know. There are specific school supplies to purchase, instructional fees, back-packs, shoes, and required clothing for all the boys. The difference between Boys Farm and most families is that we need more of all the above each year! Many of you are so gracious and faithful to contribute to the boys God places in our care. Would you prayerfully consider sending an extra gift this month to help with our back-to-school needs?

Friends, as I have shared with you before, Boys Farm is unique in our world today in that it is an openly Christian home with our primary funding coming from friends who believe in our mission. Your support is vital and that is why I ask for your help. Boys Farm is God's ministry and I ask that you would pray about how you could help at this time. Also, if you know of any individuals, churches or other organizations who might be interested in learning about this ministry, we would appreciate the opportunity to share with them what God is doing at Boys Farm.

I have two important dates to share with you. First - on August 27th, from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. we are pleased to announce our 1st Annual Barbeque Fundraiser provided by the East Optimist Club of Columbia. We welcome you to join us on the Boys Farm campus to dine in or take out orders. All the proceeds will go to benefit Boys Farm. For more information please call Michael Davis at 803-271-2381 or visit our web site at www.boysfarm.org. Finally, we invite you to join us for the dedication of our new cottage on October 1, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. This is a very special day of celebration and thanksgiving to our Lord for all He has done.

God bless you and thank you for your prayers, encouragement and support.

By His Grace,

Marty Gilpatrick
